Bog Turtle Slide Sets Available

  The Tortoise Reserve, working with the Knoxville Zoo, Baltimore Zoo, and the US Fish and Wildlife Service has produced a set of 100 slides with an accompanying 20 page text. The slide set illustrates the biology of the bog turtle, its habitat, wetland species associates, conservation issues and solutions to the species’ plight.

  While the primary purpose of the slide program is to educate the public about the needs of the turtle it is important to note that all funds generated from sales of this program go to Project Bog Turtle. Please make sure nature centers and others in your area are aware of the availability of this program.

A 40 slide version is available for $50 plus shipping, and a similar one aimed at the elementary school level is now in preparation.

All species and subspecies of the region are represented. Each slide is labeled but no text is provided. All profits go directly to Cuc Phuong Turtle Conservation and Ecology Project in Vietnam.
